B52 Bottom Bracket & M35 Crankset — Oversized Technology in Action
Watch the Instagram reel here to see the B52 Bottom Bracket and Box One M35 Crankset working together to improve power delivery and efficiency on the track.
B52 Bottom Bracket: Wider Shell, Better Power Transfer
Traditional BBs lack the space needed for the pedal stiffness riders deserve. The B52 Bottom Bracket brings Oversized Technology into the frame with a 52mm x 80mm wide BB shell, allowing wider chainstays for improved efficiency during cornering and acceleration. Power delivery becomes more efficient, and feedback more responsive, requiring less energy to achieve the same elapsed time.
By advancing the shell to 52mm, bearings are fully encased for durability and better support under high torque. This reduces shaft wobble, improves concentricity, limits axial motion, and extends service life.
Box One™ and Box Two™ Cranksets with Oversized Technology
All Box One™ (our best performing) and Box Two™ (our most durable) cranksets use Oversized Technology to reduce lateral deflection and increase pedaling stiffness. Enlarging the spindle and crank arm interfaces channels more power to the rear wheel while reinforcing high-stress zones.
M35 Crankset: 35mm Praxis™ Spindle and Cold-Forged 7075 T6 Aluminum
The Box One M35 Crankset uses a 35mm Praxis™ spindle made from cold-forged 7075 T6 aluminum for low mass and high strength. Hollow-forged crank arms focus material where it’s needed most. A stabilizer ring braces the spider legs, and a CNC-machined Chromoly/alloy self-extracting crank bolt system secures the setup.
Oversized Components Working Together
Pairing the B52 Bottom Bracket with Oversized cranksets helps banish flex, increase responsiveness, and conserve energy.
