Box One™ & Box Two™ BMX Tires — Features, Differences, and Performance

Box One™ & Box Two™ BMX Tires — Traction, Weight, and Efficiency

The Box One™ 120 TPI Folding Tires and Box Two™ 60 TPI Wire Bead Tires were engineered with a minimalist approach to meet BMX racing goals for weight, traction, rolling resistance, and rebound. Both tire lines combine advanced casing technology, lightweight construction, and BMX race-specific tread patterns to deliver consistent performance on the track.

Box One™ 120 TPI Folding Tires

At its core, the Box One™ tire features a super-supple 120 TPI casing where we forced in as much rubber-displacing nylon as possible. Skin walls are used to reduce drag and further lower weight. The high-density casing is reinforced with a tightly packed aramid fiber hoop.

The BMX race-specific tread transitions from a center band with a large contact patch to unidirectional tactile knobbies on the sides, allowing for maximum traction out of the gate, immense adhesion in corners, and low rolling resistance in the straights. A carefully engineered mixture of compounds across the apex, wall, bead seat, and center — with higher silica content in the tread — further reduces weight while maintaining durability.

Box Two™ 60 TPI Wire Bead Tires

The Box Two™ tire uses a supple 60 TPI casing with as much rubber-displacing nylon as possible. Skin walls minimize drag and weight, and the casing is flanked by a high-tensile steel wire bead for support.

Like the Box One™, the tread transitions from a large center contact patch to directional tactile knobbies on the sides. This design allows maximum traction, cornering adhesion, and efficient rolling. Compound mixtures across the apex, wall, bead seat, and center optimize rebound, traction, and rolling resistance.

Note: Not a tubeless tire.

BMX Racing Benefits & Efficiency

Both Box One™ and Box Two™ tires are engineered to deliver lightweight BMX performance, reduced rolling resistance, and high traction under race conditions. The combination of supple casings, reinforced hoops or beads, and race-specific tread ensures riders can accelerate efficiently, maintain cornering control, and conserve energy during BMX racing.
